U-turn crash in Salt Lake City claims motorcyclist’s life 

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A driver of a Tesla made a U-turn at a Salt Lake City intersection and collided with a motorcycle, leading the motorcyclist to suffer fatal injuries before 10:30 p.m. Monday. 

Gephardt Daily said the collision happened near 2 5600 West when the Tesla was traveling north on 5600 West, and the motorcyclist was traveling south. 

Despite life-saving measures, the motorcyclist – 56-year-old Theodor Butcher – was killed at the scene. 

The Tesla driver remained at the scene and will not be facing charges.
