Solo rollover crash on SR-89 in Kane Co. claims man’s life 

KANE COUNTY, UT – A driver lost his life when he traveled at a high rate on SR-89 before drifting off the road, hitting a guardrail, and before his car overturned Sunday. 

The collision took place before 11:45 p.m. on the southbound lanes, west of Catstair Canyon, DPS revealed. Officials said the 51-year-old man did not wear his seatbelt and, as a result, was ejected from his blue Kia Sorento. They suspected the man had suicidal thoughts prior to him succumbing to fatal injuries at the scene. 

The man’s name has not been released.
