COLLINSTON, UT – One life was claimed in a two-vehicle collision on SR-38, Cache Valley Daily revealed.
First responders were dispatched to the scene after 9 a.m. At this time, it is unclear how a southbound 2005 Mazda 3 car and a northbound white 2001 Ford F-250 pickup truck sideswiped each other.
The impact of the collision caused the pickup truck to roll over, and the metal on the Mazda’s side doors came off.
In addition, the Ford driver drifted to the right of the road, went on the shoulder, and overcorrected before the pickup truck flipped over. As a result, the driver, an unidentified 28-year-old man, was thrown from the automobile, came under the vehicle, and succumbed to fatal injuries.
The Mazda driver, an unnamed 23-year-old adult, was unharmed.
Officials are investigating the details surrounding Tuesday’s crash. Updates will be posted to the news blog as they become available.
