Alleged drunk driver crashes into Kearns building

SALT LAKE COUNTY, UT – An alleged drunk driver crashed into a Kearns building on the block of 4820 West on Saturday, Dec. 31. 

The sedan driver traveled off course, going over a hill and driving through a fence. Then the driver crashed into Kearns Early Childhood Center Headstart building, KSL reported. 

The three people inside the vehicle fled the scene. Officials were able to locate the suspected driver, 21-year-old Iris DeLeon Gutierrez. 

Gutierrez was arrested; however, police are still looking for the other suspects. 

No one appeared to be inside the building at the time of the crash, and no injuries were reported.
