3 hospitalized after wrong-way crash in North Salt Lake 

NORTH SALT LAKE, UT – A driver was suspected of being impaired, which prompted a wrong-way crash on Legacy Highway that sent three people to the hospital. 

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the collision took place near York Drive at milepost 2 at approximately 11:55 p.m. Wednesday.  The driver of a silver Dodge Stratus drove southbound in the northbound direction of the highway, striking a gray Chevy Cruze head-on. As a result, both vehicles sustained significant damage. 

 Medics transported the three Chevy occupants to a hospital for treatment. Two sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while one passenger sustained serious injuries after getting extricated from the vehicle.  

The Dodge driver was unharmed and arrested for DUI.
