TOOELE COUNTY, UT – A left turn crash in Erda involving a semi-truck and a car left one critically injured Thursday.
Before 9 a.m., a driver of a semi-truck turned left onto State Route 179 from Parachute Lane when the person went into the path of a car and collided, Gephardt Daily reported.
The driver of the car hit the side of the trailer and was then airlifted to a hospital with critical-life-threatening injuries.
The semi-truck driver appeared to be unharmed.
Upon the collision, the intersection was shut down, and lane closures were prompted. Officials have not revealed when all travel lanes will be open and other details surrounding the crash.
