LAYTON, UT – A driver of a car sustained serious injuries after colliding with a semi-truck on I-15 South near Church Street around 7:30 a.m. Monday, KSL reported.
Officials said that one of the motorists experienced a medical episode, which could have been the reason why both vehicles collided. The impact did cause both drivers to drift off the interstate and hit the center median.
It is not immediately clear if the semi-truck driver was hurt.
Two lanes were hurt down. However, all travel lanes reopened around 9:30 a.m.
