Motorcyclist hurt in Washington Co. crash with car on SR-9

WASHINGTON COUNTY, UT – A man was hospitalized after a collision between a Honda car and a motorcycle on SR-9 near Virgin Saturday. 

The collision was first reported after 10 a.m., as indicated in a report from St. George News

La Verkin Police said that, according to bystanders, a motorcyclist tried to either turn left or conduct a U-turn. His attempt was unsuccessful, and he collided with a gray Honda Civic. 

The Civic driver was unharmed, while the motorcyclist sustained significant injuries to his left leg. Medics treated his cuts and transported him to a St. George Regional Hospital,  where his condition remains unknown. 

There were some closures, and the roads were cleared by 11:30 a.m. Details are under investigation.
