LEHI, UT – A deputy died after a semi-truck versus car crash on the 2100 block of North Redwood Road Saturday.
The collision occurred before 5 p.m., ABC 4 reported. The cement truck drove through a red light and hit the deputy’s car as he turned onto Redwood Road.
Officials identified the deputy as Joel Baker. Baker was on his way to work at the time of the crash.
Baker succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear if the truck driver was injured; however, he did cooperate with the investigation.
