Two drivers, West Valley City police officer hurt in crash

WEST VALLEY CITY, UT – Three people were injured in a crash at the intersection of 5600 West and 3500 South Friday. 

The collision occurred around 5:30 a.m., according to KSL. One driver struck a West Valley City Police officer’s vehicle in the middle of the intersection.  

Impairment was not a contributing factor in the crash, and the other drivers remained at the scene and sustained minor injuries. 

The police officer was taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries and is expected to survive.
