MIDVALE, UT – A pedestrian was sent to the hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a truck before 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The collision occurred in the area of 180 W. 7200 South. According to KSL, police said the pickup truck driver’s sight was obscured by the sun when he ran a red light and hit the pedestrian as he crossed the street.
The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. It is unclear what charges the driver will face.
The pedestrian, an unidentified 45-year-old man, was taken to the hospital. There is no official word on his current condition.
