MAGNA, UT – One was sent to the hospital, and two lives were claimed after a head-on crash near Great Saltair Saturday.
The collision took place on SR 202 before 9 p.m. Saturday on SR 202, KUTV reported. It is unclear what led the driver of the passenger car to collide with the semi-truck. Upon impact, one person was thrown from the vehicle, and the other was partially thrown.
Officials did not reveal if the semi-truck driver was hurt, but they did say one person from the car was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
Two others succumbed to fatal injuries. They were identified as 20-year-old Victoria Keanea from Whiterocks and the other was 35-year-old Feilokitau Kaho Fiefia from South Jordan.
