HURRICANE, UT – A semi-truck rollover collision on I-15 North prompted traffic delays and lane closures Wednesday afternoon.
According to St. George News, based on information from an eyewitness, the semi-truck had allegedly drifted oddly. The driver overcorrected to the left, but when he saw a “left lane restriction ends” sign – that’s when he swerved to the right. As a result, the truck overturned.
The impact caused the sign to fall down. Plastic garbage from the truck flew out, and the front windshield was entirely destroyed.
The semi-truck driver did wear his seatbelt. He sustained minor injuries (possibly broken ribs) and was transported to St. George Regional Hospital.
No other occupants and vehicles were involved.
