Woman, 32, killed in head-on crash with oil truck near Myton

MYTON, UT – A 32-year-old woman’s life was claimed in a head-on crash involving an oil truck on Monday, February 13th near Myton. 

The collision happened on U.S. Route 40, the Sacramento Bee reported. For reasons unknown, the driver of the oil truck lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the opposite lanes. 

As a result, Kami Gines, a third-grade teacher, succumbed to fatal injuries. 

Officials have not indicated if the driver of the truck was hurt.
