Woman, 32, killed in car vs. oil truck crash near Myton

MYTON, UT – A driver’s life was claimed in a crash between a car and an oil truck on SR-40 before 6:45 a.m. Monday. 

A driver of a westbound 2004 white Peterbilt hot oil truck swerved into the eastbound lanes, according to KSL TV. The impact caused the truck driver to hit a 2022 gray Hyundai Kona. 

The truck driver was unharmed. However, the Hyundai driver, a 32-year-old woman, succumbed to fatal injuries. 

State Route 40 was closed for a few hours for clearance and investigation.
