Woman, 18, dead after head-on collision in Solder Summit

SOLDIER SUMMIT, UT – One life was claimed in a head-on crash between a Toyota Corolla and a Ford F350 with an attached trailer Saturday.

The collision occurred before 6:45 p.m. on US 6, KUTV revealed. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Toyota Corolla traveled off course and came into westbound traffic.

The driver then collided with the Ford F350 with the attached trailer.

It is unclear if the driver of the Ford F350 was hurt. However, the driver of the Toyota Corolla – an 18-year-old woman – succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said there was a mix of snow and rain, so perhaps weather conditions played a role in the crash. However, further details are under investigation.
