LOGAN, UT – Logan City Police have confirmed the identity of the man killed in a crash outside Logan-Cache Tuesday.
According to Cache Valley Daily, the collision occurred before 12:30 p.m. at N 900 West and Airport Road. A driver of a Buick was traveling east on Airport Road when he swerved off the road and overcorrected, and came into on-coming traffic. A driver of a Chevrolet pickup then T-boned the Buick.
The Chevrolet pickup truck driver wore a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. The Buick driver, who was later identified as 60-year-old Todd Miles, did not wear his seatbelt and succumbed to fatal injuries despite life-saving measures performed by medics.
Impairment is not a contributing factor in the collision, and it is uncertain what led Miles to drift off the road.
