SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Salt Lake City Police have shared more information regarding the crash between an SUV and bicycle at the East Sunnyside Avenue and Guardsman Way junction Thursday.
Gephardt Daily said that based on a preliminary report, before 8 a.m. a 45-year-old man was riding his bike on the westbound lanes of Sunnyside Avenue. At the same time a driver of a car – a 64-year-old woman – turned onto northbound Guardsman Way and hit the man.
First responders took the cyclist to a hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The woman remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
