Update: Officials ID driver killed in Iron Co. semi, box truck crash 

IRON COUNTY, UT – Officials released more information on what caused the fatal semi-truck versus box truck crash on I-15 and the name of the person killed. 

This wreck happened on the southbound lanes of the interstate before 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 10th. According to Gephardt Daily, for reasons unclear, the box truck overturned. When the semi-truck driver approached the crash site, the motorist tried to swerve to avoid striking the box truck but was unable to do so. As a result, it was the box truck driver – 27-year-old Corey C. Brownlee of Waunakee, Wisconsin, who succumbed to fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Officials shut down the southbound lanes for several hours to clean up the debris and to investigate the details of this collision.
