Two critically injured in I-215 crash in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Speeding was a contributing factor in a two-vehicle crash on the I-215 North exit ramp Friday.

A driver of a car was speeding on I-215 and drove past a Utah Highway Patrol vehicle. The driver of that vehicle eventually hit another car just before 700 North, according to KSL

A trooper initially saw the driver traveling at high speed, attempting to catch up with him or her. The impact left both drivers hospitalized with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Additional information will be posted when it becomes available.
