Speeding causes sedan wreck in Bloomington Hills

ST. GEORGE, UT – An 18-year-old woman sustained minor injuries after she drove more than 80 mph, leading her sedan to crash and land sideways in the Bloomington Hills neighborhood.

According to St. George News, this single-vehicle collision occurred in the area of East Brigham Road & South River Road, just slightly east of Desert Hills Middle School, before midnight Sunday.

Based on a preliminary report, officials said that the reason the woman was driving beyond the speed limit was due to her emotional distress brought on by relationship complications. She wasn’t thinking clearly and sped through the intersection. As a result, she lost control of her gray two-door sedan, and it spun around before going onto a curb and facing the opposite direction.

The woman was not seriously injured and was able to be treated at the scene. Officials cited her for reckless driving.
