Semi-truck vs. car crash in Helper claims one life 

HELPER, UT – A driver of a car was killed after crossing into westbound SR-6 from the eastbound lanes and hit a semi-truck hauling two trailers along The Castle Gate Tuesday. 

Utah Department of Public Safety said this collision happened before 6:45 a.m. at milepost 228. It is unclear what caused the driver to switch lanes. The victim, whose name, gender, and identity were not released, died at the scene, while the tractor-trailer driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. 

Officials shut down the west and eastbound lanes for investigation.
