Semi-truck hits fire hydrant, causes water to erupt in Layton

DAVIS COUNTY, UT – A fire hydrant erupted with water after it was struck by a semi-truck before 8 am Wednesday in Layton. 

The collision occurred along Valley View Drive, KUTV revealed. It was unclear what led to the driver colliding with the fire hydrant. 

No injuries were reported for the driver. Some homes and businesses lost water after the accident. 

At the time of reporting, an area was blocked for repairs.
