Semi-truck, dump truck collide on I-80 near Kimball Junction

KIMBAL JUNCTION, UT – Three people were injured after a semi-truck and a dump truck collided just outside of Kimball Junction last Friday morning.

According to KPCW, the crash happened on I-80, between US-40 and Kimball Junction at about 8 a.m.

Firefighters say the dump truck, which was carrying hot asphalt, crashed through a barrier and into the semi.

It is unclear what caused the crash at this time. However, hazmat crews were called to the scene to clean up spilled Glycol, a fire suppressant.

Three people suffered minor injuries in the crash. Their identities are being withheld at this time.
