WEST VALLEY CITY, UT – One life was claimed, and another was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday.
According to ABC 4, for reasons unknown, a semi-truck hauling diesel fuel collided with an SUV on the westbound lanes of Mountain View Corridor. The impact caused the semi-truck to overturn, and the semi-truck driver succumbed to fatal injuries.
The driver of the SUV was hospitalized and remained in critical condition.
The southbound lanes of Mountain View Corridor and the west and eastbound lanes of 3500 will be closed for several hours until further notice. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution and seek alternative routes.
