Pedestrian seriously hurt in Layton crash with dump truck

LAYTON, UT – One was hospitalized after a crash between a pedestrian and a dump truck Thursday morning. 

The collision occurred around 9 a.m. at Highway 193 and 1000 West, KUTV reported. 

For reasons unknown, a driver pulled over and got out of his car when he was hit by a westbound dump truck. 

The dump truck driver d at the scene and cooperated with investigators. 

The pedestrian was airlifted to a hospital for serious injuries.
