One injured in crash involving car, train at 500 South in Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A Friday night crash between a train and car left a pedestrian injured, KSL News Radio reported. 

The collision occurred around 6 pm at 500 South and Main Street. A train hit a car, and then the driver of the vehicle hit a pedestrian. The driver of the car did not render aid and fled the scene. 

Salt Lake City Police found the hit-and-run driver and arrested the person.

The pedestrian sustained head injuries. His or her condition is unknown.
