One injured, another dead after head-on crash in Uintah County

NAPLES, UT – A two-car head-on collision claimed a man’s life in Naples Friday, KUTV reported.

The collision happened around 8:30 p.m. on State Route 45 at the Green River Bridge. For reasons unknown, a white Mitsubishi Lancer crossed the center line and collided with a white Chevrolet Silverado.

The driver of the Silverado sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the driver of the Lancer declined to wear his seatbelt, which could have contributed to Friday’s crash. The driver was identified as Skylar Marrello, 28, from Casper, Wyoming.

Marrello succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
