WEBER COUNTY, UT – Impairment could have been a contributing factor in a collision on the westbound lanes of S.R. 39 Sunday.
According to KSL TV, Utah Highway Patrol believes that the driver of a westbound passenger vehicle was intoxicated when he drifted into the eastbound lanes and collided with another car.
An additional vehicle was involved but did not appear to have sustained damage. The driver of that automobile managed to avoid getting hit but still suffered injuries. The unidentified man was hospitalized, and his current condition was not revealed.
The westbound lanes had to close for an hour; all travel lanes have reopened.
