One hurt after Summit Co. semi-truck vs. car crash on I-80

SUMMIT COUNTY, UT – A Subaru driver was hospitalized after crashing with a semi-truck on I-80 West Friday. 

Officials responded to the scene around 9:15 a.m., according to ABC 4. The Subaru caught fire after colliding with the semi-truck. Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames, and medics took the driver of the Subaru to a hospital for unspecified injuries.

The Subaru driver is expected to survive. At this time, his or her identity has not been revealed. 

The semi-truck driver appeared to be unharmed.
