One dead following multi-vehicle crash in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY, UT – Several were injured, and one was left dead following a five-vehicle crash Friday. 

The collision occurred in the area of 3500 South and 2400 West, according to ABC 4. For reasons unknown, a driver lost control of his or her steering wheel and crashed into one vehicle, which caused a domino effect crash. 

The driver, who lost control of the vehicle, succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The area was closed and has reopened since.
