Officials on scene of crash on I-215 in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY, UT – A collision was reported on northbound I-215 near the 201 Freeway ramps around 8 a.m. Monday. 

The crash did happen on the right shoulder but did not result in lane closures, as indicated in a tweet from KSL Traffic. However, it did prompt significant backup towards 3500 South. 

Officials have not specified what led to Monday’s crash, the number of vehicles and people involved, or if anyone was injured.
