SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A UDOT mechanic truck driver was pinned inside the truck after driving through a fence and crashing into a canal.
The pin-in crash took place at the Big Cottonwood Canyon canal around 9:45 a.m., KSL reported.
The driver performed self-extrication. It is still unclear what the contributing factors of the collision were.
Differential fluid leaked from the vehicle, but crews cleaned it up and removed the truck from the canal after 12 p.m.
