SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A motorcyclist was hospitalized for critical injuries after speeding on southbound State Street and crashing into the back of a pickup truck Thursday.
The collision took place before 11:45 p.m., Gephardt Daily reported. The motorcycle sustained significant damage, and the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Officials have not revealed if the motorcyclist will be cited for speeding.
