Motorcyclist hospitalized after off-road crash in Hurricane

HURRICANE, UT – A side-by-side collision involving an off-road vehicle and a motorcycle on Sand Mountain sent the motorcyclist to a hospital after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to St. George News, the off-road vehicle –occupied by a man and a woman – and the motorcycle were going in opposite directions. Due to the “wash” with “high sides,” it made it difficult for the drivers to avoid each other, leading them to collide.

The man and woman from the off-road vehicle were unharmed, but the motorcyclist was airlifted to St. George Regional Hospital for treatment of suspected spinal injuries.
