Motorcyclist dead after getting hit by SUV in Sandy

SANDY, UT – A man in his 20’s was left dead in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Sandy Saturday. 

The collision occurred before 10:30 at 8800 South and State Street, Gephardt Daily indicated. An SUV, for reasons unknown, cut off the motorcyclist operated by the man in his 20s. 

It is unclear if the SUV driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol or was impaired. This is under investigation by Sandy Police. 

The SUV driver and passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The motorcyclist died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
