Motorcyclist, 50, dead following two-vehicle crash in Hurricane

HURRICANE, UT – A 50-year-old man died in a motorcycle versus car crash in Hurricane Saturday. 

The collision occurred on Route 9, KSL reported. The motorcyclist traveled at a high rate and hit the back of a black Nissan Versa. As a result, the motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle. Then the motorcycle caught fire.

Utah State troopers identified the motorcyclist as Troy D. Matthews. 

Matthews was transported to a hospital, where he gave in to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
