Minor injuries reported in Washington City roundabout crash

WASHINGTON CITY, UT – A motorcyclist was injured in a crash involving a blue Kia Thursday afternoon, St. George News reported.

The collision occurred around 4 p.m. on a roundabout off I-15. The driver was in the inside lane, and the motorcyclist on the outside lane.

The driver of the Kia hit the motorcycle first when she intended to make a right turn and go south on Washington Parkway. While the motorcyclist continued traveling in the roundabout, he was struck.

Officials said the woman made an incorrect lane change as she wanted to turn right and get out of the outside lane. As a result, she was cited for an improper lane change. She was spared from injuries, while the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries – bruised and bleeding knees.

The motorcycle sustained significant damage, while the Kia had minor front-end damage.
