Minor injuries reported after driver runs red light in Cedar City

CEDAR CITY, UT – A two-vehicle collision was prompted after a driver ran a red light at an intersection before 3:45 p.m. Thursday. 

The crash took place at Cross Hollow Road and Providence Center Drive when a driver of a blue BMW sedan traveled east on Cross Hollow, drove through the red light, and collided with a silver Chevrolet HHR SUV, St George News reported. 

The driver of the blue BMV was cited for not obeying the traffic light and suffered injuries to one of her arms. The other BMV passenger was also evaluated for injuries. Both occupants did not need to be taken to the hospital. 

It is unclear if the Chevrolet driver was hurt. 

Both vehicles sustained damage and were towed away from the scene.
