Man drives the wrong-way, crashes into sidewalk in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A driver of a gray passenger car drove the wrong way clipping a tree in the process Saturday. 

The single-vehicle collision took place around 1 p.m. in the area of 600 S State Street, KSL TV reported. 

As indicated in the source’s photo, the car sustained significant front-end damage. 

The driver appeared to be unharmed. Nonetheless, medics took him to a hospital for medical evaluation. 

Investigators are looking at impairment as a potential contributing factor.
