Man, 55, dead after car-pedestrian crash in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A pedestrian’s life was claimed after he was hit by a car around 7 p.m. Tuesday. 

According to KUTV, the pedestrian, a 55-year-old man, crossed the street on 700 North when he did not have the right of way. As he walked, a southbound vehicle traveling on the 680 block of North Redwood Road hit the man. 

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. 

The pedestrian gave in to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
