Man, 38, killed after Box Elder Co. head-on crash

BOX ELDER COUNTY, UT – One was hospitalized, and another was killed after a head-on crash between a pick-up and a semi-trailer truck. 

The collision occurred on SR-30 West around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Gephardt Daily reported. For reasons unknown, the driver of a silver 2015 Chevy pickup truck went into the eastbound lanes and collided with a white 2020 Kenworth semi-trailer truck. 

The semi-truck driver, an unidentified 24-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the pickup truck – a 38-year-old – man succumbed to fatal injuries. 

The highway closed for several hours, and all travel lanes have reopened since.
