CLEARFIELD, UT – A 19-year-old man attempted to jump over an electric scooter, hit his head, and later died, KUTV reported.
This incident occurred in the area of 750 East 2050 South before 9 p.m. Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said the 19-year-old man, Isaac Heninger, a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Searsville, New Brunswick, Canada, and another missionary were interacting with a group of teenagers. Shortly after, Heniger decided to jump over the electric scooter.
Heniger jumped but hit his head. First responders treated him at the scene and rushed him to Holy Cross Hospital-Davis. He was later airlifted to the University of Utah Hospital, where he suffered fatal injuries Monday.
