Injuries reported in Washington County semi-truck, car crash

WASHINGTON COUNTY, UT – Two were hurt in a crash between a car and semi-truck on northbound I-15 Friday. 

The collision happened around 6:30 p.m., St. George News reported. Amid traffic, the driver of a semi-truck and the driver of a car both tried to merge into the middle lane simultaneously. 

The car was on the left lane, and the semi-truck was on the right. When both drivers collided, they came onto the path of southbound traffic before the vehicles landed on their sides. 

The semi-truck driver and car passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car was unharmed.
