Dump truck rollover crash reported on I-15 on-ramp in St. George

ST. GEORGE, UT – A driver of a dump truck pulling a trailer with a boom lift was traveling too fast on the I-15 N on-ramp, causing the trailer to overturn onto the ramp around 5:45 p.m. Monday.

According to St. George News, this collision happened at the I-15 North and UT 34 interchange. The dump truck did not roll over with the trailer.

Officials closed the eastbound UT 34 on-ramp so that a heavy wreck and tow truck could remove the vehicle and the boom lift.

A tow truck driver arrived at the scene at approximately 6:40 p.m. They turned the flatbed trailer back on its wheels and the heavy wrecker put the boom lift in an upright position.

The boom lift was removed and the eastbound on-ramp to UT 34 reopened by 8 p.m.

No one was hurt in this crash.

Officials cited the dump truck driver.
