Crash with guardrail in Sandy claims life of 20-year-old man

SANDY, UT – A single-vehicle crash on the I-15 off-ramp along 11400 South claimed a driver’s life Thursday. 

The collision happened before 6 a.m., when a driver of a silver Subaru WRX swerved off the exit ramp and collided with a guardrail, according to DPS

Significant front-end damage was done to the car. Despite life-saving measures performed on the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, the unidentified 20-year-old man succumbed to fatal injuries. 

The off-ramp closed for a few hours for clean-up operations.
