Boy, 5, critically injured after getting hit by truck in Roy

WEBER COUNTY, UT – A five-year-old boy was hospitalized for severe injuries after getting hit by a truck in Roy Wednesday. 

The collision occurred along 2675 West 4400 South, KJZZ revealed. 

The boy was riding his bike at the time of the collision. What remains unclear is what led the truck driver to collide with the boy. Impairment and alcohol are not contributing factors in Wednesday’s crash. 

The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. No injuries were reported for him. 

Roy Police are continuing to look into the details of Wednesday’s crash.
