HURRICANE, UT – A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a car while riding his bike Thursday.
The collision took place before 7:30 p.m. on 180 North between 3700 West and 3900 West, Hurricane City Police revealed.
Police said the driver of a 2018 Kia Soul had trouble seeing while driving due to the setting sun. As a result, he struck the boy who was riding his bike. The child’s parents were made aware of the incident.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The boy was transported to St. George Regional Hospital for critical, life-threatening injuries.
