WASHINGTON COUNTY, UT – A 15-year-old boy died from his injuries in a crash involving an electric bicycle and a truck in Hurricane Thursday.
The collision happened around 7:30 pm at 400 South and 400 West, ABC 4 reported.
For reasons unknown, a 56-year-old man driving a Dodge Ram 2400 pickup truck struck the 15-year-old boy. As a result, the bike got trapped underneath the vehicle. The teenager was stuck, and after medics tried to save him, he passed away from his injuries.
It is unclear if the truck driver was impaired or under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Police did not indicate if he would face charges at this time.
