Boy, 13, ran over by car while riding bike in Bountiful

BOUNTIFUL, UT – A 13-year-old boy was critically injured after getting struck by a vehicle around 3 pm Wednesday in Bountiful. 

The teenager was riding his bike at 2600 South and 500 West, KSL reported. There the driver of the vehicle stopped at the stop sign, made a right turn, and struck the boy. 

It is unclear if the driver remained at the scene and rendered aid. In addition, police did not indicate if the driver would face charges. 

The boy was identified as Isaiah Munger. 

Munger sustained a broken shoulder, a collapsed lung, and broken ribs. He is recovering and is expected to survive.
